Adam Smith is one new and important voice for us all.
Passion has its time and place. And in today’s marketplace of music, passion seems to be sorely missing. That is until you hear the emotive voice and literately passionate songs of one Adam Smith.
Adam Smith is truly an artist of and for our times. This 25year old from Harlan County, Kentucky, having packed up his guitar and hitchhiked to Nashville, Tennessee, found himself a space on the corner of _____ and Broadway downtown Nashville. Homeless and playing his music for quarters and nickels, Adam serenaded the passers-by and with his music, opened up the doors to Heaven with a message of love and keen insight into the human condition for all to hear, that would hear.
One such listener was Adam’s soon to become manager, impresario and businessman Jim Colletti, who took Adam from the street corner into the recording studio with us, his friends and partners Dick Wagner and Suzy Michelson of Desert Dreams Productions, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Adam was given the total freedom to make a record of his poignantly descriptive songs with the end result being “Another Way To Heaven”, his debut release.
One is reminded of the story of a young Bob Dylan leaving Hibbing, Minnesota for the East Village in NYC in the 1960s.
Adam’s passionate pleas for love and tolerance evoke the voices of prior generations with the peaceful urgency of a need for voices to represent today’s generation.
Adam Smith is one new and important voice for us all.
